We want you to enjoy your time in the class AND out of
it and we offer a variety of afternoon activities and other facilities for you
to use during your free time. Library with a wide variety of books for you to
borrow. These range from a range of graded books to help you practice reading at
a level suitable for your English to a range of Christian books offering
biographies, testimonies and other challenging and inspiring subjects. We also
have a range of grammar and vocabulary books to give you further practice, audio
cassettes with books to give you some listening practice in one of our three listening booths and a range of magazines and newspapers. This also gives you a quiet place to sit and do homework and private study if you want it. FREE internet access with ADSL broadband fast connections
available to use during the
afternoon. This will allow you to send and receive
e-mails as well as to 'surf' the internet and
find information to help in your
learning. We recommend students get an easily accessible
e-mail account if they
have not got one already. Hotmail accounts are free and easily available
and
allow you to receive your e-mail wherever you are in the world. To start an
account, go to
where you
will find instructions.
We have a small snack shop selling a
variety of lunch snacks and other confectionary and drinks for you to buy
at very reasonable prices if you wish to. There are also several sandwich bars
within short walking distance if you want to get something else to eat plus many
restaurants and cafes which do lunchtime menus if you want something a little
more substantial. On Tuesday
afternoons we use the sports hall in the YMCA, only three minutes walk from the
school, to play different team sports together. This may be volleyball,
basketball, football, etc We play for fun so everybody is very
welcome. It is an excellent opportunity to
spend some time in a relaxed atmosphere with other students, talking in English
and getting some physical exercise at the same time.
